MUD 374 Property TAX RATE LOWERED to 63 Cents per 100 Dollars of Taxable Valuation

Harris County Municipal Utility District 374’s Board of Directors voted on September 9, 2022, to lower property taxes to 63 cents from the current 71 cents per one hundred dollars taxable value.

HC 374 covers Phase 1 and Phase 11 of Cypress Creek Lakes. The reduction will still allow the district to maintain current facilities and operations.

The taxable value of each property is set by Harris County Appraisal District so the amount of reduction will vary for each property. This new rate will be reflected in the 2022 tax statements.

Notice – Water Usage

The Cypress Creek Lakes MUD District’s are concerned about excessive water usage in the District. With the current Drought Conditions, it is important for residents to take an active role in reducing the use of water. The most common reason a Drought Contingency Plan is implemented is due to the demand placed onto a water system by the community. This occurs as a result of supply capabilities struggling to meet irrigation/usage demands. You can proactively help the MUD avoid hitting mandatory stages of the Drought Contingency Plan and maintain adequate water pressure by following some of the tips and recommendations outlined below:

  • Stay on top of household leaks by monitoring your water usage online at http://eyeonwater.com/signup. The enrollment process takes around five minutes and allows you to monitor your usage, and set up leak alerts to notify you via text or email when the meter detects a potential leak.
  • If you have a swimming pool, it may be helpful to check for automatic fill problems on your pool equipment.
  • Even-numbered addresses may irrigate or use water outdoors on even-numbered days. Odd numbered addresses may irrigate or use water outdoors on odd-numbered days.
  • All irrigating and outdoor water usage should be avoided during peak demand hours of 6:00 am and 10:00 am and between the hours of 6:00 pm and 12:00 am (midnight).

Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 374 & 433 appreciates your efforts to assist in the conservation of our precious and limited water resources.

Sincerely,
Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 374 & 433
